Designed specifically for California School and District Administrators, this session provides a contextual backdrop for evaluating current initiatives and selecting future initiatives. Equip yourself with the knowledge needed to support a robust literacy framework in your school or district. We will dive into an overview of the California Policy Timeline to understand the key legislative and policy changes that have shaped literacy education in our state.  Through exploration of the science of reading and uncovering common misconceptions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of evidence-based practices, enabling them to make informed decisions that enhance student learning outcomes.
