Dr. Amanda Fernandez has had a diverse and extensive career in the field of education, serving in various roles in different types of educational institutions. Her experience spans both traditional District and County Office settings, as well as Charter schools, and Higher Education. Throughout her career, Dr. Fernandez has taken on significant responsibilities in various areas of education, including overseeing and managing various educational departments, programs, and services aimed at improving student learning and achievement. She also managed health and wellness programs within educational institutions to ensure the well-being of students and staff. She was in charge of organizing, planning,and constructing a mobile school-based health clinic in partnership with the County Health Department. Dr. Fernandez created district-wide teacher mentoring programs as was the Coordinator for Teacher Induction. She served on a multi-industry task force to create new credentialing pipeline pathways with California Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
In her current position as Chief Fiscal Officer, Dr. Fernandez oversees the financial aspects of the educational institution, including budgeting, financial planning, and managing fiscal resources. As a founding creator of Sequoia Grove she assists with the continued partnership between the Charters and Sequoia Grove. A big project she is working on this year is the LCAP.
Throughout her career, Dr. Fernandez has demonstrated a dedication to education and a passion for learning. Her background and experience in various educational domains have equipped her to serve schools effectively. Since 2019, she has been contributing her expertise to our educational family, making a positive impact on the schools we serve.
